Despite being the “new kid on the block” in the climbing world, Bonita has already broken two mountaineering records with only two years high-altitude mountaineering experience and becomes the newest member of Karrimor’s elite athlete team. Bonita’s first experience of high-altitude mountaineering was in September 2009, when she became the youngest woman in history to reach the false summit of Mount Manaslu in the Himalaya (eighth highest mountain in the world). In May 2010, Bonita achieved her dream and became the youngest British woman to stand on the summit of Mount Everest. Bonita continues to further her climbing experience and is always on the lookout for the next big challenge. With a fantastic can-do attitude, Bonita is an amazing role model for young people and an inspiration to all.
Bonita has this to say about his passion for climbing:
"Karrimor is synonymous with the Great British outdoors – ever since first venturing into the hills of north Wales I have seen how trusted Karrimor is as brand by both hill walkers and mountaineers alike. To be invited onto this team of talented athletes is a dream come true. Having only started climbing two years ago I am now more motivated than ever to see how far I can push myself with Karrimor's support.
I am happiest when on an expeditions and believe a long period spent in remote places is good for the soul. I like going back to basics and meeting people I would never normally encounter and experiencing life at the extremes.
I am extremely proud of my achievements so far however I feel that I am nowhere near the peak of my career, and I strive to achieve much more in the years to come. I have a lot to learn and a lot of potential to do ground breaking expeditions in the years to come. I want to travel safely and learn my craft from the best. My love for the outdoors has taken me to some of the world's most beautiful places. Long may it continue and I am delighted to have Karrimor on board for the journey."

So September has crept up on us and another summer has come to a close, though here's hoping for a few more days out on the rock before it gets too cold. And what a summer it has been, for me it began after returning from the Arctic Circle and our...
If there is a moment from my recent North Pole expedition that sticks out it is the moment I stepped off of the Oslo flight to Longyearbyen at 78 degrees North.I gulped down the fresh air as we were herded onto the tarmac- and it was that first breath...
