- This competition is only open to residents of the European Union aged 18 and over who hold a valid driver’s license, excluding employees
of Karrimor Limited and Lonsdale Sports Limited (“Karrimor”), employees of Txtnation and its affiliates, SOS Children’s Village
charities, or any of its or their affiliated companies, their families, agents or anyone else connected with this promotion.
- The grand prize winner of this competition will receive a Yamaha motorcycle, the specifications and details of which
shall be determined by Karrimor, in Karrimor’s sole discretion. The secondary prizes shall comprise Karrimor bags, the
specifications and details of which shall be determined by Karrimor, in Karrimor’s sole discretion. If the giving away of a
motorcycle or any of the other prizes is prohibited by law or for any other reason in the country of residence of the winner
of such prize, then Karrimor, in its sole discretion, may substitute an alternative prize or a cash prize of the same value
as that of the winner’s prize.
- Text entries shall cost the entrant £1.50, with proceeds going to benefit the SOS Children’s Village charities
(after deductions for administration of this competition).
- There is no requirement to pay to enter this competition. Anyone who wishes to enter this competition without paying may
do so by writing to Karrimor at the address set out below.
- The deadline for entries to this competition is 3:00 P.M. G.M.T. on 6th March 2006.
Karrimor does not accept any liability for late or lost entries.
- Prize winners will be chosen by random from all qualifying entries within 298 days of the closing date specified
in clause 5 above. In all matters, the decision of Karrimor shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall
be entered into.
- The odds of winning are dependent on the number of final valid entries.
- This prize is non-negotiable, non-refundable and non-transferable. Subject to clause 2 above, there is no cash or
credit alternative for any of the prizes.
- Karrimor’s decisions regarding the awarding of prizes are final in every situation including any not covered above.
The order of prize drawings is at the complete and absolute discretion of Karrimor and need not be in order of prize amounts.
No correspondence will be entered into.
- Prize winners may be required to answer a skill-testing question in order to claim their prize.
- Karrimor will deliver, at its own expense, the prizes to the winners subject to the following.
The winners will be responsible for the payment of any and all taxes, import duties, registration costs and for maintaining
a policy of insurance for the purposes of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (as amended) or other equivalent legal provisions in your
country of residence related to any prizes. The winners release Karrimor from any liability associated with such potential
tax treatment or insurance requirements.
- Karrimor reserves the right to alter the specifications of the prizes should they be unavailable as a result of
circumstances arising out of its control, and which, in the opinion of Karrimor, make it necessary to cancel or change
the competition at any stage.
- Karrimor cannot and will not accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect,
delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorised access
to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions,
virus, bugs, or other causes outside its control.
- Passports, licenses and any other required documentation are the responsibility of the winner.
- Prize winners will be notified by text message. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable or failure
to reply as specified in the notification within the time stated therein may result in disqualification and selection
of an alternate winner. Entrants are only eligible to win one prize. A list of winners may be obtained by writing to Karrimor
at the address below no earlier than six weeks after the closing date and including a self-addressed stamped envelope.
- Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified in the winning notice.
Failure to claim a prize within the time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an
alternate winner.
- Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Karrimor reserves the right to substitute prizes
at any time.
- Prizes are awarded at Karrimor’s discretion and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on
behalf of any entrant.
- Karrimor cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant
entering the competition or as a result of accepting any prize. Karrimor is not and shall not be responsible for any problems
or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment,
software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet,
telephone lines or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other
person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
Nothing shall exclude Karrimor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
- All winners who accept the prizes agree that all such prizes are awarded on the condition that Karrimor and its agents
and representatives will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from
acceptance, possession or use of any prizes.
- All entrants and winners acknowledge that Karrimor, its agents and representatives, have neither made nor are in any
manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, relative
to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness.
- Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and Karrimor reserves the right to use the names and
addresses of winners, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity.
- Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation
and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent.
- This competition and the terms and conditions of this agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with
the laws of England.
